Shipping policy
Effective 17 October 2026. Prices include GST in Australia.
Every book is printed on demand, just for you, by our print partner Lulu. We build and check your book first (up to 2 business days). Then it's printed (about 3-5 business days, a little longer for hardcovers) and shipped. The times below run from your order to your door, in business days. From mid-November to January, please allow up to one extra week.
Australia
Paperbacks and kids' books ship free (standard). Hardcovers are printed overseas, so their shipping is charged at cost at checkout. There's no free hardcover option.

Prices are for 1-2 books. Orders of 3 or more books cost a little more (e.g. hardcover standard A$43.14 for 3-4 books), and checkout shows the exact amount. Hardcover annual plans pay for all 4 deliveries at checkout.
WA, NT, Tasmania and remote areas: allow 3 more business days.
United States

We don't make money on shipping. Every paid option is what our printer charges us, converted to your currency and rounded down. We cover the card fees on it. If we ever find we charged you more than it cost us, we refund the difference. For example, an order with both paperbacks and hardcovers can be charged shipping twice at checkout; we refund anything above our actual cost.
US and Canadian orders are printed in the US or Canada, so there are no import duties.
Kits and annuals
- Kits ship together. Occasionally the books arrive in separate parcels on different days.
- Annual plans: Volume 1 ships after you answer the questions. Then one volume each quarter (about every 13 weeks).
- In the US and Canada, shipping for all 4 volumes is paid at checkout. In Australia, paperback annuals ship free (standard) and hardcover or Family annuals pay shipping at cost for all 4 deliveries at checkout.

- Digital gift card: any time up to Thu 24 Dec. The recipient answers the questions after Christmas and we print then.
These dates are our best estimates. They aren't guarantees from the carrier. We count from when your answers are in, not when you pay, so finish the questions straight away.
Where we ship
Australia, the United States and Canada. For the UK and New Zealand, our standard (not personalised) edition is on Amazon.
Tracking, addresses and PO boxes
- We email tracking when your book ships. Some standard options have limited tracking.
- Please check your address at checkout. If a parcel comes back because the address was wrong, we'll resend it for the cost of postage.
- PO boxes are fine for Standard. Some couriers (Express) need a street address. Please add a phone number at checkout for the courier.
